Clinical and Health Psychologist
I am a registered clinical psychologist who provides psychological services to children, adolescents, adults and families. This primarily includes therapy as well as psychological assessments with children to young adults. Although I have worked with clients who have experienced a variety of concerns, I mainly work with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, adjusting to life events or stressors, sleep difficulties and health-related concerns (e.g., chronic pain). Please visit www.ottawapsychology.ca for more information. Currently I am seeing clients virtually and in person. Any in person sessions are completed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when I have office availability.

Theoretical Orientation and Clinical Experiences
My theoretical orientation (Developmental Psychopathology approach) is integrative, in that I consider the biological, psychological, and social and systemic factors that impact clients. Since my training included learning different theoretical perspectives, I use strategies and techniques that are evidence-based (e.g., cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy) and relevant for the individual. To help with overall well-being, the focus is on helping clients with their concerns as well as building upon their strengths. As I take a supportive, collaborative, and respectful approach, I value and seek feedback and active involvement from my clients.
I have sought out a variety of clinical experiences during my training and career to date, including working in various community child and youth mental health, hospital, university and private practice settings. I have specialized training working with children, adolescents, and their families, but I have also worked with young to older adults. In addition to clinical work, I have also been involved in program development, research, as well as the training of clinical psychology graduate students in psychological assessment and treatment. I have also provided presentations and/or workshops to other professionals, as well as families. To maintain my knowledge and competency, I regularly attend conferences and workshops, in addition to reading research and clinical literature.
